The Beamer is the default pistol for the Vanu Sovereignty . It can be used as a side arm for the Infiltrator, Light Assault, Combat Medic, Engineer, and Heavy Assault classes. It is very accurate even when spamfiring at high rate of fire.

Comparison between Manticore and Beamer

The Beamer is a decent side arm for short range and close quarter combat. Its fast firing speed and large clip gives it an advantage in some situations over the alternative Vanu pistol, the Manticore.

Ribbons and Medals

It is possible to get both Ribbons and Medals for using the Beamer VS3. Each Ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the Beamer. Medals relate to how many overall kills you have with the Beamer.
