The Cortium Silo is a core-type construct. The schematic is auto granted, and it can be built from an ANT, Cortium Silo, or Cortium Silo Reserve.
The Cortium Silo is the heart of all construction bases. If one is not within range of a construct, that construct will quickly decay and self-destruct. It is also required to power certain structures, which will be unable to operate without Cortium from a nearby silo.
When built, a Silo will start with the 2,000 
used to build it, making it functionally free.
