Exterior cosmetics are a range of platings and attachments available for the main body of all vehicles. They are typically unlocked through purchase with Daybreak Cash.
The exact area of a vehicle affected by exterior plating depends on the specific vehicle, however exterior plating tends to have the largest impact on the overall silhouette of a vehicle compared to other types of cosmetics.
Exterior cosmetics do not modify the first person view of the vehicle, although they may be visible from that view inside vehicles that have part of their frame extend in front of the driver or pilot's camera (such as in main battle tanks, the Lightning, and the Scythe).
These items are exclusive to the vehicle on which they are purchased. For vehicles produced by Nanite Systems, some cosmetics may be available to characters of any faction, whereas other are limited to the usage of a single empire.
As with many other cosmetics, player-made exterior plating can be submitted for addition to the game through the Player Studio (
), and any such exterior cosmetic that was created by a player is marked with the appropriate icon.
The Flash is a vehicle produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions. Despite this, most of the Flash's exterior cosmetics are faction-specific, with few being available to characters of all empires.
