Flash Suppressor
{{{imagesize}}}
A flash suppressor makes the shooter less visible to the enemy, but increases the range at which you appear on enemy minimaps by 15 meters.
Empire:

The Flash Suppressor, or Enhanced Plasma Containment, is a barrel.

While attached, a flash suppressor removes the bright, fiery flash emitted from the gun's barrel each time it fires, replacing it with a tame puff of smoke. However, the range at which the player is revealed to enemies on the minimap whenever they fire the weapon is increased by 15 meters.

This attachment's benefits are visible both to the firing player and other players, both keeping the shooter's vision clear, and hiding the bright and obvious flash from the enemy that would otherwise be displayed each time the gun fired.

Though some weapon classes have longer 'detection ranges' at which they reveal the player when fired by default, the penalty from the Flash Suppressor is a flat 15 meter increase no matter what class the weapon it is fit to belongs in.
