The Gauss Rifle Burst is an assault rifle available to the New Conglomerate. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The Gauss Rifle Burst is a variant of the NC1 Gauss Rifle, equivalent to the T1B Cycler and
Pulsar Burst, being a modification of the standard issue assault rifle that sacrifices the typical full-automatic fire mode for heavily reduced recoil on a burst fire mode.
Its most analogous weapon across faction lines is the SABR-13, being another two-shot burst weapon with 167 maximum damage, but the Gauss Rifle Burst costs less certs and unfortunately reflects those cost savings in its performance as a marksman rifle. The SABR's vertical recoil pattern can be easier to counter than the diagonal pull of the Gauss Rifle Burst, and the Gauss lacks a semi-auto fire mode. Hip fire and minimum damage values also favor the SABR. In consolation, the Gauss Rifle Burst has a much speedier reload to keep it in the fight at medium-long ranges.
The bargain bin mantra of "It's just as good!" applies out to the 143 damage range. Beyond that distance, The Gauss Rifle Burst is only equal for head shots to kill - and that's if its recoil pattern is mastered. It can counterintuitively be made more accurate with low magnification optics to help limit how hard the user needs to pull their aim in the opposite direction of recoil. A Compensator and Forward Grip will also help, of course, but the MGR-A1 Vanquisher or a scout rifle are safer choices than pushing the Gauss Rifle Burst to the limits of its effective range.
There is no enforced delay between bursts on the Gauss Rifle Burst. If the user perfectly times their trigger pulls, the Gauss Rifle Burst's maximum fire rate is indeed 600 RPM.
Like most dedicated burst weaponry, the Gauss Rifle Burst enjoys reduced recoil on the first shot of each burst, where most automatics suffer increased recoil on that same first shot.

---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Compensator![]() ![]() ![]() | A compensator redirects gases upward, reducing vertical recoil by 30%, and increasing hipfire cone of fire by 15%. The added sound pressure causes the player to show on the minimap 35m farther away. | ||||||
Flash Suppressor![]() ![]() ![]() | A flash suppressor makes the shooter less visible to the enemy, but increases the range at which you appear on enemy minimaps by 15 meters. | ||||||
Heavy Barrel![]() ![]() ![]() | A heavy barrel reduces cone of fire bloom by 20% while aiming down sights, but reduces aim down sights movement speed by 20%. | ||||||
Short Barrel![]() ![]() ![]() | This shortened barrel reduces cone of fire bloom by 40% when firing from the hip, and increases vertical recoil by 20% while aiming down sights. | ||||||
Suppressor![]() ![]() ![]() | The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%. |

Angled Forward Grip![]() ![]() ![]() | An angled forward grip reduces the vertical recoil of the first shot in a burst by 60%, but increase the side to side recoil of a weapon by 10%. | ||||||
Darklight Flashlight![]() ![]() ![]() | The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position. The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey. | ||||||
Forward Grip![]() ![]() ![]() | A forward grip increases control of the weapon, reducing horizontal recoil by 25%, but increases equip time by 0.15 sec. | ||||||
Laser Sight![]() ![]() ![]() | A laser sight increases the user's hipfire accuracy by 33%. |

High Velocity Ammunition![]() ![]() ![]() | High Velocity Ammunition increases the weapon's projectile velocity by 10% and minimum damage range by 20 meters, but reduces the weapon's maximum damage range by 2 meters. |
Damage Fall-off[]
Damage drop-off is linear, below stats only represent damage tiers fall-off.
Stats in orange are with High Velocity Ammunition.
- 167 before 10 meters (8 meters)
- 143 at 55 meters (66 meters)
