The Harasser is a buggy available to all factions. Designed for squad transit and skirmish tactics, its variety of weapons make it suitable for most situations.

The Harasser has three seats: a driver, a turret gunner, and a rear-facing "rumble seat". The rumble seat can be used by an ordinary infantry soldier or MAX unit, who can use their normal weapons. However, the passenger in the rumble seat is not protected from splash damage or direct hits, and cannot use a Nano-Armor Kit to repair the vehicle from this station.

Harassers also come equipped with a turbo-boost ability, which can be activated periodically to give the vehicle a large burst of speed for a few seconds.

With its high speed, and the capacity to carry powerful weapons, a Harasser is deadly in a good pair of hands. Its mobility can be used to outflank enemies and hit them from unexpected angles, and allows the Harasser to escape from dangerous situations. However, its thin armor is vulnerable to small-arms fire, and if it is pinned down it can be quickly destroyed.

  • Engineers in the rumble seat now repair 50% of their normal repair per second value, instead of 30%.
  • Dev Note: With MBT and Lightning receiving less damage from the rear now, we've decided to reintroduce some of the vehicle's survivability against those targets. In most cases, this change increases the number of shots to kill for a composite armor Harasser by one, and prevents them from falling into a critical state as they normally would have, without composite armor. The additional rumble seat repair rate should also help boost the vehicle's overall survivability mid-fight, though ultimately the role of the Harasser continues to be to pick off wounded targets, and engage in hit and run gameplay.

June 17, 2020 Update[]

July 1, 2021 Update[]

  • Repairing from the rumble seat has been removed for all vehicles.
    • Dev Note: We've removed rumble seat repairs to create clearer, more predictable vehicle balance. A lack of rumble-seat repairs should weaken the Harasser's ability to escape to a small degree, and slow down the pacing for this vehicle. The vehicle most impacted by this change will likely be the Valkyrie, as it will need to fly closer to the ground instead of being as brazen in the air. We've compensated to a small degree by allowing the Valkyrie to use the Engineer's Aircraft Synergy passive, but we'll be monitoring to see if additional changes are necessary to keep the Valkyrie relevant and fun.
