The Hunter QCX is a sidearm produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.

The Hunter Quad Cam X-bow is a crossbow, firing lethal darts capable of quietly eliminating targets. Alongside its notable lack of noise, the Hunter also stands out through its wide variety of alternate bolt choices—Explosive, Detection, and Incendiary Bolts—all allowing the crossbow to function in roles sidearms are not usually capable of, modifying the weapon's stats greatly to do so.

Unlike most weapons, the Hunter QCX only deals 150% of its normal damage on a headshot, preventing it from killing any standard infantry in a single hit—barring infiltrators not using Nano-Armor Cloaking. Although very quiet, the Hunter QCX is not suppressed and firing the weapon will reveal the user to enemies within 10 meters.

For marksmen that prefer to not put themselves directly in the fray, the Nanite Systems Quadra scope allows users distance between themselves and their intended targets. The Quadra comes equipped with a simple crosshair at 4x magnification.

Nanite Systems' Tetra scope gives its users a significant advantage at target acquisition at mid to long ranges thanks to its triple chevron reticule and 4x magnification.

Explosive Bolt

Replaces the default bolt with a heavier, explosive tipped variant that does moderate damage to MAX units and armored targets, reduces the number of shots in the magazine by one.
Incendiary Bolt

Ribbons and Medals[]

It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the Hunter QCX. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the crossbow. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.

  • October 24, 2016 Update
    • Default bolt min-damage from 500 to 525
  • June 29, 2017 Hotfix
    • The Hunter QCX now has access to smoke bolts.
  • June 17, 2020 Update
    • Explosive Bolt direct damage resist type from 3 (a deprecated resist type) to 34 (Infantry Rocket Launcher.)
    • Explosive Bolt direct damage from 450 to 300.
    • Explosive Bolt indirect minimum damage from 10 to 50.
    • Explosive Bolt indirect minimum radius from 0.35m to 0.5m.
    • Explosive Bolts no longer lose damage over distance.
    • Replaced Explosive Bolts hipfire cone of fire penalty with a smaller magazine size (by 1) penalty instead.
    • Detect Bolts reduced the number you can have on the field at any time from 20 to 4.
    • Smoke Bolts have been replaced with Incendiary Bolts, which ignite enemy infantry to deal damage over time.
    • Dev Note: We've done some cleanup on the Hunter crossbow's attachments. Explosive Bolts' unnaturally high damage against certain targets is brought to be more in line with the weapon's intended functions. Additionally, we're stepping away from the spammability of smoke on this weapon to encourage the use of alternatives.
