The L100 Python HESH is a primary weapon available to the Lightning. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.

The L100 Python High Explosive Squash Head variant is a dedicated anti-infantry and anti-crowd cannon, able to take down almost any soldier on a direct hit (even through Flak Armor) and seriously injure anyone standing near them, even with a missed shell.

In exchange for its heavy splash damage, the Python HESH has much slower fire rate and thus much lower damage-per-second than the L100 Python HEAT and L100 Python AP, and so while it can still deal some damage to other tanks, it will be heavily outclassed by other cannons.

Effectiveness[]

The following table indicates the number of direct hits required from an L100 Python HESH cannon to destroy a stock version of an appropriate vehicle from full health. The number of shells required to set a stock opponent on fire is listed in brackets; some vehicles are never damaged enough to be set on fire prior to the final shell that destroys them. It should be noted that the HESH is not designed for an Anti-Armor role, and using it as such can be considered sub-optimal. Additionally, Shots to Kill does not take into account reload times, shell velocities, or other vehicle mitigations such as fire suppression, extra armor, or nanite repair systems. The values should be used as a rough indication only when comparing between cannons.
