The LA1 Anchor is tuned for close quarters effectiveness. It features best-in-class rate of fire for its considerable stopping power, and a 50 round box magazine for quick combat reloads.
Liberty Arsenal forged this special variant of the LA1 Anchor in recognition of the weapon's long-term performance in the hands of a skillful operator.

The Liberty Arsenal 1 Anchor is part of the 'trinity' - a trio of close-quarters oriented light machine guns all popular on their respective factions. The LA1 Anchor, MSW-R, and Orion VS54 are all close-quarters oriented machine guns with approximately the same damage-per-second, simple recoil, good hip accuracy, a 50-round magazine, and relatively fast reloads for their class, perfectly suiting an aggressive playstyle.
The Anchor itself is best compared to the GD-22S, which seem to be designed as the second side of the same coin. The Anchor wins out in raw damage-per-second and has more favourable cone-of-fire statistics, whereas the GD-22S wields a slightly friendlier recoil pattern and a substantially faster reload speed, amongst the fastest in class.
A compensator redirects gases upward, reducing vertical recoil by 30%, and increasing hipfire cone of fire by 15%. The added sound pressure causes the player to show on the minimap 35m farther away.
The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%.
The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position. The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey.
It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the LA1 Anchor. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the machine gun. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.
Medals earned with the LA1 Anchor contribute towards the Light Machine Guns directive tree.
Trivia[]
The LA1 Service Anchor was a special creation in honour of Emerald player Aeflic, who had scored over two hundred thousand kills with the standard Anchor. Aeflic is the only player who owns this weapon variant, and has achieved over fifty thousand kills with the gun.
