Note: | Available only during St. Patrick's Day Event. |
The LA3 Desperado is a pistol available to the New Conglomerate. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The Liberty Arsenal 3 Desperado appears to be the New Conglomerate's take on a somewhat uncharacteristic design for the faction: the TX1 Repeater, as a burst pistol prioritizing damage output over most other stats. Unlike the Repeater, it prioritizes reloads and damage over magazine capacity. This contrast is even starker when compared to the
TS2 Inquisitor. It compares more directly to the
Spiker as a high-DPS, low endurance sidearm. The Desperado favors raw damage output in comparison, but not to the degree of the
NS-45 Pilot.
With a high fire rate stemming from a two-round burst fire mode, the Desperado is capable of dealing excellent damage up-close. It has a very high damage model for the fire rate: two shots at a blazing fast 895rpm, tempered by a 173ms delay between trigger pulls. This delay brings the overall fire rate down to the listed 500 rpm. The trigger delay is present in the semi-auto fire mode as well, leading to an effective fire rate of roughly 345rpm in semi-auto.
The Desperado suffers at range through the two shots' combined recoil and poor cone-of-fire values even in semi-automatic. Its aimed cone of fire is twice as wide as the NC4 Mag-Shot or
TS2 Inquisitor, and spreads to unacceptable levels if burst-fired at the maximum rate. Its small magazine capacity and low damage-per-magazine do little to help it in this regard.
