Lashing Ammunition is an ammo type.
While loaded, lashing ammunition halves the muzzle velocity of the weapon and reduces direct damage dealt by 40%. In exchange, that 40% reduced direct damage is dealt instead as indirect damage, exploding to deal that damage in a small area around the point of impact.
If the user directly hits a player while lashing ammunition is loaded they will deal both the direct and indirect damage to the target, leading to no loss in damage (before resistance effects such as Flak Armor are factored in). However, the indirect damage is unable to benefit from headshot multipliers.
Lashing ammunition's indirect damage deals 50% reduced damage to the user and their allies. Lashing Ammunition prevents the weapon from being fired underwater.

The VE-A Lacerta has its maximum and minimum damage values reduced to the following values;
- 100 before 10 meters
- 91 after 90 meters
In exchange, the rifle gains the following indirect damage statistics;
- 67 before 1 meter
- 50 after 1.5 meters
This indirect damage is dealt on the 'Common Explosive' resist type, and is the same no matter the range the bullets have traveled before contacting a surface.
