The M20 Basilisk is a Nanite Systems all-purpose secondary weapon available to the ANT. The Basilisk is a slow firing machine gun capable of dealing moderate damage to all target types. Unlike most other ground vehicles, bar the Flash, the ANT does not have the Basilisk unlocked by default. Instead, the WLT-Yellowjacket Mining Laser is unlocked by default.

The ANT's variation of the Basilisk takes the best statistics from both the Sunderer's variant and all other variations, gaining a high ammo pool whilst also retaining the standard fire rate, making it the best variant of Basilisk available in the game.

The M20 Basilisk enjoys an extremely high degree of versatility. Whilst it may not specialize into doing any one job, it can fire upon all target types to a relatively good degree of success. Due to the ANT being such a high priority target, it can come under focus from all types of combatant. However, the primary two foes that the ANT is threatened by are infantry and aircraft. Due to their wildly different target profiles and angles of attack, finding a weapon to deal with both is particularly challenging.

Where the M40 Fury shreds infantry, it leaves a gaping vulnerability versus aircraft. And, though the G30 Walker is a highly effective deterrent, the gun's inability to aim below a certain angle leaves the ANT particularly vulnerable to infantry who get close to the vehicle. Though the M20 Basilisk may not kill either target as fast as the aforementioned weaponry, it does not leave any vulnerabilities in the ANT's defenses and may still be a highly competitive choice for an ANT crew.
