The M40 Fury is a Nanite Systems anti-infantry secondary weapon available to both weapon slots on the Sunderer. The Fury is a fast firing grenade launcher able to deal damage to all vehicles. It has a significantly faster fire rate compared to the other grenade launcher, the M60-G Bulldog, however sacrifices range, damage and explosion radius in exchange for the fire rate and muzzle velocity.
The M40 Fury is a very effective weapon at defending a Sunderer from infantry and lightly armored vehicles, as its faster fire rate is more forgiving and allows it to kill infantry faster than the M60-G Bulldog. Even though the Fury has less damage than the Bulldog, it is slightly more effective versus vehicles due to the increased fire rate. The Fury however has the disadvantage of having a much higher bullet drop compared to the Bulldog, severely decreasing its range, meaning it has to be much closer to its target to reliably hit.
The M40 Fury is a very effective weapon for an S-AMS Sunderer, granting it much more reliable defense versus vehicles and hostiles that find its hiding spot, however it lacks in the range needed to be effective in vehicle combat where instead the M60-G Bulldog would do a much better job.
With any vehicle weapon, it is possible to get both Ribbons and Medals. Each Ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with a vehicle weapon. Medals relate to how many overall kills you have with the vehicle weapon.
We are adjusting the M20 Basilisk, M40 Fury, P525 Marauder, C85 Canister and Proton II PPA to be stronger light armor counters. Light Armor includes: Flash, Harasser, and ESF.
The Fury performs well, but we want the fury to be a more distinct choice compared to other similar options. We’re going to do this by allowing increasing its direct hit damage and allowing that to do damage to heavy armor. The damage it can do to heavy armor will be higher than what it could do previously. Its blast radius will be brought to match the PPA and Marauder, but we will also increase its magazine size. As one of the changes to promote the Harasser getting closer to targets, the Harasser and Flash variant is adjusted to do less direct damage than the tank version.

Dev Note: Fury received some splash adjustments across the board, since the weapon currently performs well in an anti-vehicle role, while maintaining high effectiveness versus infantry. The direct damage remains, but it pays more for its versatility on the anti-infantry front.
The reload speed certification lines for top guns, air vehicle non-nosegun (and non-bellygun) weapons have been standardized at 10/14/17/19/20% reload speed.
