MAX Punch is a melee weapon which is auto granted to MAX units. Note that the NSO's Defector unit uses Defector Claws, a different melee attack with different properties.
Punching is the only melee attack available to MAX units. The soldier swings their right arm in an arc in front of them, dealing a large amount of 'Heavy Machine Guns' damage to any targets hit. Due to its damage type, MAX Punch is also capable of damaging even heavy vehicles and constructions. For more information on damage types, check out Vehicle armor and damage resistance.
Unlike most melee weapons, MAX Punch cannot be wielded. Only quick melee attacks are available with it, and it has a longer recovery time than typical quick melee attacks.
To quick melee with this weapon, press the Melee Attack hotkey ( by default).
