The MG-HBR1 Dragoon is a scout rifle available to the Terran Republic. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.

The MG-HBR1 Dragoon is a scout rifle released alongside the MGR-M1 Bishop and VE-LR Obelisk as part of a new series of empire specific weapons. Each seeks to add fresh flavour to the neglected scout rifle selection, providing a highly accurate long-range platform with access to unique attachments and mechanics. For the Dragoon, this is the fully-automatic fire mode and Explosive Ammunition, alongside Heavy Magazine and Single-Fire Barrel.

The Dragoon is unique amongst scout rifles, providing a full-auto fire mode in a typically single-fire line-up of weaponry. This allows easier use at closer ranges, allowing the user to always reach the maximum potential rate-of-fire which would require skilled trigger timing otherwise. The Dragoon can also use the single-fire barrel attachment to lose this benefit, however making it even more accurate than the other new scout rifles.

Additionally, compared to MGR-M1 Bishop and VE-LR Obelisk, the Dragoon has a slightly faster fire rate.

Vertical recoil is reduced by 20%, and the weapon becomes semi-automatic, allowing for ease of handling at longer ranges.

A comfort grip reduces the time it takes to swap to the weapon by 30%, reduces horizontal recoil by 20%, but increases vertical recoil by 20%.
Darklight Flashlight

The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position.
The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey.
Forward Grip

A forward grip increases control of the weapon, reducing horizontal recoil by 25%, but increases equip time by 0.15 sec.
Laser Sight

A laser sight increases the user's hipfire accuracy by 33%.

    • Refire rate from 325ms to 300ms(185 RPM to 200 RPM)
    • Dev Note: This change increases the Dragoon's rate of fire by a small amount, and makes it more distinct in comparison to other weapons in the arsenal, as well as the other heavy battle rifles across factions.
