Before being retired during the early years of the war, the Suppressor was used for low-profile infiltration missions where engagements could take place in tight corridors.
The MKV Suppressed is very similar to the NS-7 PDW, the weapon it is based on. The weapon has a similar feel to its predecessor, but is built with an integrated suppressor that allows it to enjoy the benefits of suppressed fire with less harsh velocity penalties, and is also able to increase its rate-of-fire through this. However, it does feature a harsher damage drop-off than the NS-7 PDW, and the suppressor cannot be removed.
Compared to the NS-7 PDW, the weapon fires at a rate-of-fire 29 RPM faster (779 RPM versus 750 RPM) and has a velocity 20m/s faster than the NS-7 PDW would were it also suppressed (360m/s as opposed to 340m/s). However, the weapon features a harsher damage drop-off with an additional tier of fall-off.
