The NC05 Jackhammer is a heavy gun available to the New Conglomerate. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The NC05 Jackhammer is a potent and adaptable heavy shotgun exclusive to the Conglomerate. Featuring the largest magazine of any shotgun and the longest effective range whilst using buckshot of the class to boot, the Jackhammer is a powerful platform allowing the Heavy Assault to sustain a high damage output and project it out to longer ranges than expected from a shotgun. Not content with its ranged potential, the Jackhammer also features an alternate 3-round burst firemode, allowing it to quickly dump three shells down range for incredible burst damage, though this fire mode adds a chamber time to the weapon as a counterbalance.
Switching between the Jackhammer's two firemodes changes the weapon's stats drastically—where most other guns have zero stat changes between firemodes. The standard semi-auto firemode does not have a chamber time between shots, fires an extra pellet, and has a tigheter pellet spread, whereas the 3-round burst firemode doubles the shotgun's rate-of-fire, although also adds a 0.65 second chamber time between bursts.
To switch firemodes on a weapon, press the Switch Fire Group key (B by default).
