The NS-03 Thumper is a heavy gun produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The NS-03 Thumper is a heavy grenade launcher that grants all factions access to a heavy gun capable of dealing area damage. However, while equipped, the Thumper uniquely slows the user by 10% at all times. The Thumper also has access to a variety of ammo types, changing the function of its grenades. Unlike the Underbarrel Grenade Launcher, the Thumper's projectiles have no minimum range and will explode if they strike any target less than four seconds after launch. The projectile will explode if four seconds pass without hitting a target.
The NS-03 Thumper's indirect damage deals 50% reduced damage to the user and their allies.

It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the NS-03 Thumper. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the grenade launcher. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.

Trivia[]
- The NS-03 Thumper is based off the Thumper from PlanetSide. The weapon could similarly use different grenade types there.[1]
- On a 1920x1280 fullscreen display with default field of view settings, the reticle gives aiming points for 10, 20, and 25 meter targets(20, 30, and 45 meters with the launch accelerator). When sighted, the reticle gives aiming points for 10, 15, and 20 meters (15, 25, and 35 meters).
- The Thumper has no headshot multiplier. Precision aiming is not recommended.
- The absolute maximum range between the launcher and a target on level ground is 100 meters (125 meters with the launch accelerator). Any shots beyond this range will explode before impact. In either case, aimed fire would be obstructed by the player character's forearm.

- July 2, 2019 Hotfix
- Dev Note: This weapon was tuned conservatively in the first update, as the nature of explosives can carry a lot of power in certain situations. After seeing the weapon perform, we feel comfortable expanding its power and practicality with the following changes.
- Removed the leg-shot damage reduction
- Thumper is now usable as an ASP secondary weapon.
- Thumper now shoots projectiles "from the eyes" like other weapons, while aiming down sights.
- Fixed an issue where the Thumper wouldn't drop the movement speed penalty when reloading while aiming down sights.
- (There are a couple smaller issues that still need to be addressed with the aim down sights mode, namely that HUD icons don't dim while aiming down sights, and that quick melee doesn't pull players out of iron sights.)

- Dev Note: We're pushing the distinguishing characteristics of these attachments further so that playstyle differences are felt more.
