The NS-10 Burster is a MAX anti-aircraft arm produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions. The right arm is auto-granted, and the left arm is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.

The NS-10 Burster is a dedicated anti-aircraft machine gun, firing high velocity rounds with small flak payload which detonate when passing near hostile aircraft to deal moderately high damage. Thanks to its specialization towards anti-air, the arm is left rather helpless against other targets through a combination of low damage-per-shot on direct, extreme damage fall-off, and a moderately poor cone-of-fire.

The weapon's indirect damage only triggers when its rounds come within close proximity of an aircraft that is at least ten meters away from the MAX. Rounds hitting hostile aircraft within ten meters, or any other target type at any range, will not detonate and instead deal the weapon's direct damage.

  • Burster flak damage from 28 to 34.
  • Zealot Overdrive's Burster flak damage from 31 to 38.
  • Cone of Fire from 2 to 3.
  • Projectile lifespan from 3sec. to 2sec.

Dev Note: The above changes increase the MAX's firepower against close-range aircraft, while making them less effective at dispensing targets at very long ranges.


October 1, 2020 Update

  • NS-10 Burster indirect (flak explosion) damage from 25 to 28.

Dev Note: Burster MAX should feel slightly less impotent now when dealing with aircraft.


March 11, 2020 Update (Escalation) / (Undocumented Changes)

  • The MAX’ NS-10 Burster direct damage resistance type from 2 (Small Arms) to 4 (Heavy Machine Guns). Overall damage output is less than Gorgons.
