The NS-D Helios is a heavy gun produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions. It is unlocked and upgraded using Certification Points.
The NS-D Helios is a unique weapon which fires a burst of 5 incendiary rounds, with its alternate fire mode launching a slow and heavy flame globe that explodes dealing damage in an area. Both projectile types will ignite all infantry hit, but it important to note that the burning damage is a status effect and does not stack - it will only deal 25 damage per half-second for 3 seconds regardless of how many times the enemy was ignited.
Each flame globe shot consumes 50 ammo. If the weapon's fire mode is switched to flame globe while the weapon has less than 50 ammo left in the magazine, a reload will automatically occur.
To switch fire modes on a weapon, press the Switch Fire Group key (B by default).

It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the NS-D Helios. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the weapon. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.

Trivia[]
- The NS-D Helios is based off of the Dragon from PlanetSide, which had a very similar functionality and appearance to the Helios.[1]
- The Helios' placeholder name, before it was released onto live servers, was the L20 Dragon— referencing its PlanetSide ancestor.
