The NS-R3 Swarm is a rocket launcher produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions as part of the Common Pool. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The NS-R3 Swarm is a flexible lock-on rocket launcher. Incapable of being dumbfired, similar to the NS Annihilator, the Swarm stands out through it's incredibly high damage-per-magazine and dynamic fire modes, though these benefits come at the expense of heightened counterplay and a relatively long exposure time. The Swarm has access to two fire modes, firing either a slow yet manoeuvrable missile or a fast but sluggish missile allowing the user to tailor their weapon to the situation, although the disadvantages of each fire mode are quite distinct.
Fast projectiles start at a speed of approximately 150m/s, quickly accelerating up to 175m/s, while slow projectiles start at 50m/s and accelerate to 65m/s. Slow missiles turn approximately 2.5x more effectively than Fast missiles, combining with their slow speed to allow them to track targets significantly better. Swarm missile tracking is delayed, with the missiles only beginning to manoeuvre after a brief period, rather than immediately.
The fire mode can be changed at any time, including while locking/locked onto a target. Swarm projectiles have a significantly longer lifespan than other lock-on missiles, lasting up to twelve seconds.
The Swarm can lock onto ground targets out to 300 meters, and it can begin locking aircraft at 350 meters and maintain a lock out to 400 meters. It takes 1200ms (1.2s) to lock onto a vehicle of either type.

Ribbons and Medals[]
It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the NS-R3 Swarm. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the rocket launcher. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.

History[]
- Removed the mention of "flak" from the NS-R3 Swarm description.
November 17, 2022 Update (10-Year Anniversary)
- Direct damage resist type from 34 (Infantry Rocket Launchers) to 68 (Infantry Lock-on)
- Blast damage resist type from 12 (Flak Explosion) to 6 (Common Explosive)
- Blast damage from 160@5m-1@8m to 275@0.5m-50@2.5m
- This weapon no longer requires a flak detonation to trigger its AoE damage.
- Lock-on Rocket Launchers once again deal damage past 250m. (This change was implemented last week.)
- Lockon Distance from 400 to 800.
- Lockon Lifespan from 5 to 12.
- Dev Note: This adjustment does not change the Swarm’s initial lockon distance, but only the distance (and duration) at which launched rockets will follow their target.
- Added to the game.
