Daimyo's three-round magazine contains the headshot killing potential of a bolt-action sniper rifle, with the follow-up potential usually found in semi-automatic snipers.

The Nanite Systems Export Daimyo is the manufacturer's offering for a 'close-range' sniper rifle, not unlike the Ghost, SAS-R, and TSAR-42. Setting the Daimyo apart from these options is the weapon's significant headshot multiplier, allowing a seemingly low damage weapon to nonetheless kill targets in one headshot, though that same low damage punishes the weapon heavily for bodyshots. In exchange, the Daimyo is semi-automatic, unlike the aforementioned bolt-action rifles, decreasing downtime and lowering the punishment for missing a shot.
Unlike most weapons, the NSX Daimyo includes an integrated 4x Scope with no options to decrease the magnification. In addition, the weapon's poor bodyshot damage and extremely unfavourable minimum hip cone-of-fire statistics heavily promote aimed usage, as the weapon demands headshots to succeed. And, though it may be semi-automatic, the Daimyo's recoil takes longer to start recovering than most weapons, which some users may find awkward when attempting to chain kills on several targets.
For marksmen that prefer to not put themselves directly in the fray, the Nanite Systems Quadra scope allows users distance between themselves and their intended targets. The Quadra comes equipped with a simple crosshair at 4x magnification.
The Seer-6 is an elegant take on older 6x optics, and is custom fitted specifically for use with the Nanite Systems Export series weaponry. Hold Sprint to steady aim.
The Deep Vision 6x scope highlights targets in infrared beyond ranges of normal infantry optics, though target acquisition is significantly slower. Hold Sprint to steady aim.
The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%.
The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position. The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey.
It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the NSX Daimyo. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the rifle. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.
Now appears in filters as a Sniper Rifle, instead of a Scout Rifle in marketplace filters.
Maximum damage from 225 to 325.
Minimum damage from 175 to 250.
Headshot multiplier from 5x to 3.5x
Dev Note: We're reducing the extremes between bodyshots and headshots a bit so the reliance on the Daimyo's unique headshot multiplier is lessened, though it will remain incapable of a 3 bodyshot kill at maximum damage range.
Anti-infantry sniper rifles now use a separate Sniper Rifles resistance (type 20).
Being struck by a sniper rifle now has more prominent audio.
Dev Note: The damage values for this new resistance are equivalent to small arms. This change will allow us to do is modify the bodyshot damage output from Nanoweave, as mentioned above.
Dev Note: Traditional Forward Grips offered no functional benefits to slow firing semi-auto weapons, so swapping them for Comfort Grips (which reduce the equip and unequip time of a weapon,) can be interpreted as a buff in almost all cases.
