Note: Was available to NSO upon completion of the Master Launchers directive, pre _Integration update.

The NSX Muramasa is a rocket launcher produced by Nanite Systems, available to all factions. It is unlocked through purchase with A7 from the Black Market aboard Sanctuary.

The Nanite Systems Export Muramasa is a variant of the NSX Masamune, sharing a similar design philosophy. Unlike the Masamune, the Muramasa must fire its rockets one-by-one regardless of the user's stance, and at half the fire rate. However, the rockets are exceedingly accurate, and do not need to be guided (though cannot be even if the user wished to.)

The Muramasa fires its rockets at 120 RPM in both stances whereas the Masamune either fires all its rockets instantly while hipfiring or at twice the rate (240 RPM) while aimed. In addition, the Muramasa does not have any type of wire guidance regardless of the weapon's firing mode.

Trivia[]

  • The NSX Muramasa is named after Muramasa, a great swordsmith who lived in feudal Japan, and is of alleged relation to Masamune (from which the NSX Masamune draws its name).
  • Pre _Integration update, NSX-A Muramasa was a rocket launcher available to Nanite Systems Operatives. It was unlocked upon completion of the Master Launchers directive. It's no longer acquirable.

History[]

  • April 25, 2019 Update (A New Soldier)
    • NSX-A Muramasa added to the game.
  • December 16, 2020 Update (Auraximas 2020)

      • Dev Note: Direct damage adjustments here bring the Masamune's anti-vehicle potential closer to the Decimator's without usurping its role.
    • Standardized minimum blast radius of 0.35m to 0.5m.
      • Dev Note: The changes here are closer to cleanup, as its impact on damage output is miniscule.
  • July 1, 2021 Update (_Integration)
    • NSX Muramasa added to the game.
  • July 21, 2021 Hotfix
  • March 30, 2022 Update (The Arsenal Update)
