During focus group testing, the compact, automatic, NSX Yawara pistol was overlooked at nearly every turn, failing to reach the popularity of the numerous other Nanite Systems pistol designs released throughout the Auraxian War.

The Nanite Systems Export Yawara is a variant of the NS-45 Pilot, sharing some of the same base stats. Though it inherits the same highly lethal damage model of the Pilot, the Yawara trades in the quick bursts for a slow fully-automatic firing mode instead.
Compared to the Pilot, the Yawara can fire fully-automatic, though the gun fires every 180ms, as opposed to the Pilot which fires every 80ms during each burst with a 250ms delay between them.
Many soldiers choose Nanite Systems' popular Illuminated Combat Optic series over stock iron sights for superior target acquisition in both close quarters and low-light situations. More reticles for this sight available, see full article.
The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%.
The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position. The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey.
It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the NSX Yawara. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the sidearm. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.
NSO has also received new Directive Weapons available in all-new weapon directive trees, as well as rocket launcher offerings. Previous NSX-A weaponry will remain as legacy items for pre-existing NSO characters that were able to unlock them, and new non-auraxium NSX versions of these weapons have made their way to the Black Market.
