Nightshade
128
This ornate blade hums with purpose, as if it has a hunger waiting to be satiated. The corrosive edge dissolves any metal it touches, but is somehow protected from devouring itself.

Note: Available for completing the Master tier of the EverQuest's 20th Anniversary directive.

The Nightshade is a melee weapon available to all factions. It was unlocked upon completion of the Master EverQuest's 20th Anniversary directive, by activating Fatestealer, which is now inaccessible to all players.

The Nightshade is an 'anti-vehicle' knife. While it deals 50 less damage on-hit than standard knives, it uses the heavy machine gun damage type, similar to the M20 Basilisk, rather than the normal melee type, allowing it to deal damage to all vehicle types as well as increasing the damage the knife deals per-swing versus MAXes.

Note that, because of this change in resistance type, damage reduction effects such as Nanoweave Armor level 2 will begin to reduce damage dealt by this weapon (aside from damage dealt to the head).

To quick melee with this weapon, press the Melee Attack hotkey (Middle Mouse Button by default) while holding any other weapon. To equip this weapon for wielded melee, press the Equip Melee hotkey (- by default).
