Genudine Dynamics unveiled the Razor GD-23 in the early 29th century. The Razor quickly became popular due to its high accuracy and controllable recoil, allowing it to outperform other carbines at long distances.
The design of the Razor Genudine Dynamics - 23 allows it to remain incredibly stable while firing, having amongst the least recoil of any carbine on Auraxis, plus a moderately high muzzle velocity further aiding mid-long range engagement, and one of the quickest reloads in class lowers downtime to little more than a brief intermission.
However, the Razor's damage-per-second is similarly low in exchange for these perks, with little else available to the New Conglomerate's otherwise incredibly lethal arsenal able to contest this 'achievement'.
A compensator redirects gases upward, reducing vertical recoil by 30%, and increasing hipfire cone of fire by 15%. The added sound pressure causes the player to show on the minimap 35m farther away.
The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%.
The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position. The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey.
High Velocity Ammunition increases the weapon's projectile velocity by 10% and minimum damage range by 20 meters, but reduces the weapon's maximum damage range by 2 meters.

It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the Razor GD-23. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the carbine. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.
