While attached, a smart-choke tightens the weapon's pellet spread by 0.5 degrees whenever the weapon is fired while aimed. However, it will inversely increase the weapon's pellet spread by 0.5 degrees when it is fired from the hip.
The attachment has no effect on the shotgun's cone-of-fire, which remains at the standard minimum of 0.15 degrees in both stances.
