Steel Rain is a global war asset war asset available to outfits. It is crafted using 15 Synthium, with a crafting time of 15 minutes. It can be called down on any continent, including Desolation.

Steel Rain allows Squad Leaders to place a maelstrom high above the target location, announcing the incoming rain to all players in a large radius, and begin a 30 second timer. Once this timer elapses all members of the player's Squad alive or dead, with sole exception to those in vehicles, will be instantly placed into Drop Pods randomly spread throughout the maelstrom, before dropping down onto the battlefield.

Steel Rain can pull eligible allied players no matter their class, allowing the asset to also pull players in MAX suits, or Defectors, into a drop pod.

Steel Rain requires the Use Reserved Assets permission to call down, and the Craft Reserved Assets permission to craft. Unlike other war assets, Steel Rain also requires the player be a squad leader. Platoon leaders who are not also squad leaders cannot use this asset.
