The VE-A Lacerta is an assault rifle available to the Vanu Sovereignty. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.

Produced as a part of the 'Corona' weapon series, the Vanu Esamir - Assault Rifle Lacerta brings a lethal burst-fire rifle to an arsenal that otherwise lacks the option. Though reigned in by a low velocity and 200 millisecond delay between bursts, the Lacerta's lightning fast 3-round burst delivers a trio of high calibre rounds down range at an unprecedented rate, rewarding precise shooters with amongst the fastest time-to-kill possible on an automatic weapon, though each additional required burst severely reduces this killing speed.

As with most other entries in the 'Corona' series, the VE-A Lacerta has access to special attachments. The Lacerta debuted the ability to load Lashing Ammunition long before it was rolled out to other weapons, giving it suppressive capability not unlike the eponymous Lasher X2. The rifle retains the Vented Power Core available to most weapons in the series.

Darklight Flashlight

The rail mounted Darklight Flashlight can illuminate hostile cloaked infiltrators and dark areas but the light can give away your position.
The light can be turned on and off with Toggle Attachment hotkey.
Forward Grip

A forward grip increases control of the weapon, reducing horizontal recoil by 25%, but increases equip time by 0.15 sec.
Laser Sight

A laser sight increases the user's hipfire accuracy by 33%.
Vented Power Core

Removes the speed penalty when reloading an empty magazine, but the weapon will recoil more harshly in one direction while firing.

High Velocity Ammunition increases the weapon's projectile velocity by 10% and minimum damage range by 20 meters, but reduces the weapon's maximum damage range by 2 meters.
Lashing Ammunition

Lashing Ammunition converts 40% of the weapon's direct damage into a small explosive blast on impact, but in-flight velocity is reduced by 50%.
