VE-C Horizon | |||
![]() | |||
Horizon's experimental design fires a fan of three projectiles on a horizontal trajectory when hipfiring, and a tighter, vertical trajectory when aiming. Each plasma projection packs less firepower than the average carbine individually, but when all projections land, the stopping power rivals that of harder hitting weapons. | |||

The VE-C Horizon is a carbine available to the Vanu Sovereignty. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.
The Vanu Esamir - Carbine Horizon is a carbine released alongside the MG-C1 Kindred and
MGR-C1 Charger as part of a series of empire specific weapons, each bringing interesting mechanics to the lineup alongside unique attachments. With the Horizon, this is a uniquely accurate yet shotgun-esque firing method alongside a perfectly accurate minimum cone-of-fire in both stances, and access to Unstable Ammunition as well as Capsulate Ammunition.
The Horizon's bullets are instead fired as a spread of three 'pellets' horizontally when fired from the hip, which is tightened and spread vertically instead when fired while aiming. With Capsulate Ammunition loaded, the spread is tightened, and the damage is consolidated into two pellets rather than three.

Capsulate Ammunition![]() ![]() ![]() | Capsulate Ammunition splits the weapon's damage evenly among two pellets, reduces pellet spread by 75% from the hip and 50% while aiming down sights, and reduces magazine size by 4. | ||||||
Unstable Ammunition![]() ![]() ![]() | Unstable Ammunition significantly increases the size of projectiles fired while reducing headshot bonus damage by 80%. |
Damage Fall-off[]
Stats in green are the weapon's damage assuming all pellets connect at the given range.
- 56 before 10 meters (168)
- 48 at 38 meters (144)
- 42 after 60 meters (126)
Effectiveness[]
Assuming all pellets hit the target.

Ribbons and Medals[]
It is possible to earn both Ribbons and Medals while using the VE-C Horizon. Each ribbon is a standard reward for achieving a set amount of kills with the carbine. Medals are awarded upon reaching kill milestones with the weapon.
Ribbon(s)[]
Ribbon | Icon | Requirements |
VE-C Horizon Service Ribbon |
10 kills |
Medals[]
Medal | Icon | Requirement | Award |
---|---|---|---|
No Medal | 0 kills | N/A | |
Copper Medal | 10 kills | 2 ![]() | |
Silver Medal | 60 kills | 10 ![]() | |
Gold Medal | 160 kills | 20 ![]() | |
Auraxium Medal | 1,160 kills | 200 ![]() | |
Medals earned with the VE-C Horizon contribute towards the Carbines directive tree. |
Trivia[]
- The VE-C Horizon is named after the horizon—the point at which the ground and the sky meet from an observer's point-of-view.
History[]
- Max damage per pellet from 50 to 56
- Max damage with capsulate ammunition from 75 to 84
- No longer earns the wrong kill ribbons.
- Dev Note: Horizon has enough drawbacks that we don't feel we need to keep it on the lower, more reserved damage tier.
