The VX29 Polaris is a light machine gun available to the Vanu Sovereignty. It is unlocked through purchase with Certification Points or Daybreak Cash.

Vanu Labs' VX29 Polaris is, despite the weapon's relatively low damage output, a purpose-built close-quarters weapon. With the potential to have amongst the best minimum hip cone-of-fires in the light machine gun selection, thanks to the Advanced Laser Sight, an incredibly long maximum damage range, as well as a generous magazine size, the Polaris is primed to function as an excellent close-quarters weapon in sustained engagements, though the weapon's low rate-of-fire does demand an extra level of skill from the user.

Barrel Attachments
Suppressor The weapon's muzzle flash and noise generation is reduced, and the player no longer appears on the minimap when firing. In exchange, the weapon's damage falls off 20 meters sooner, and bullet velocity is reduced by 15%.

  • The VX29 Polaris is named after 'Polaris', a star within the Ursa Minor constellation. Polaris is notable for being the brightest star that is also closest to the celestial north pole, thus earning it the suitable moniker 'The North Star'.
