The WLT-Yellowjacket Mining Laser is a top gunner weapon available to the ANT. It is unlocked by default.
The WLT-Yellowjacket Mining Laser is a mining laser manned by the gunner rather than the pilot. Though its usage leaves the ANT helpless against any assailants, it allows the vehicle to mine Cortium at a far faster rate, and the Yellowjacket can be used to deal damage to hostile constructs. The Yellowjacket mines cortium at a rate of 300 
per second.
To mine cortium or damage constructs with this laser, hold the Fire key (
by default) while in close proximity to and looking at the target.

The mining laser uses a heat-based ammo pool, in contrast to the standard magazine-based ammo system most weapons typically use. Heat provides a meter that fills upon firing, and dissipates when not firing.
The turret has a heat capacity of 650, generates 10 heat "per shot" (with an fire rate of 600 RPM), and has a recovery delay of 2 second. It dissipates 105 heat per second, and incurs an overheat penalty of 2 seconds.

- The Howler Mining Laser and the Yellowjacket Mining Laser now deal intense damage to enemy construction objects, in addition to their normal mining functionality. We hope this new feature gives player bases a risky and rewarding counter to heavily fortified construction bases.
